4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we decided to participate in the community 5k. We walked, we're not runners. We did it with Braden and Colby's families. That meant that we had to get up early... 5:50. We're not early birds in our home.

Due to waking up at 6:15, Paisley missed the parade.

Getting a good picture with all the kids isn't easy. Most of the time they do what they want just to make us crazy.

We've been going to Lagoon the past few years with Chase's family on the 4th. Here is a picture of Chase on the cliffhanger. This is the first time I've seen this ride operating.


We had great weather. It was overcast for a lot of the day; it even sprinkled here and there. The sun came out in the later afternoon but that was ok. We didn't have to wait in line much for the rides. Some of them we were able to walk right on.
Going to Lagoon once a year is enough for us. We decided we're getting old because a lot of the rides made us sick and gave us a headache. But it was still lots of fun!!


Here is Paisley with Grandma Lori just before I took her inside. The screamer fireworks her uncle and Grandpa did scared her and made her start screaming. We got her calmed down and brought her back outside and she started to fall asleep so she missed the Riverdale City fireworks. Oh well, maybe next year.
