What a stinker!

Chase went to get Paisley up for her nap today and he found her standing up! We lowered her matres a couple of weeks ago because we were afraid of this very thing. Thank heavens we did it when we did!

FrEeDoM!!

Recently I've been thinking about how blessed I am, especially to live in this Country. Living in a Country where I have the freedom to do what I want is something I take for grantid. I don't know what I did to have all the many blessing I do. I love this country!! GoD BlEsS AmErIcA!!!!

Growing up so fast!

Yesterday Chase and I made some purchases for Paisley. We bought a gate, some outlet covers and a high chair. We bought the gate and covers from Walmart and the high chair from a lady off KSL. Paisley doesn't know what to do with herself now that she can roam around the entire upstairs.
Today I put all of the clothes that no longer fit Paisley into some bins and I packed up all the things we used for her when she was teeny-tiny. As I looked at some of the clothes, I couldn't believe that she actually used to fit into some of those newborn outfits and pajama's. Our little girl is growing up too fast!!

Camping in the Uintah's

Every year my Aunt and Uncle, Mindy and Richard, go camping over the 4th. We have been fortunate to be able to join them each year. This year they went to Christmas Meadows. Since we went to Lagoon on the 4th with Chase's family, we didn't leave to go camping until the 5th. We only stayed one night but it was a nice little get-a-way for our family. Here are some pictures...
My Uncle Richard with his niece's Allison and Paisley.

A cool picture Chase took of the moon.

A pretty picture that Chase took.

Me by our tent... actually Colby and Tanya's tent that they let us borrow.

Camping is never complete without a campfire.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we decided to participate in the community 5k. We walked, we're not runners. We did it with Braden and Colby's families. That meant that we had to get up early... 5:50. We're not early birds in our home.

Paisley with Grandma Beth before the Riverdale parade started.

Paisley with me before the parade started.

Due to waking up at 6:15, Paisley missed the parade.

Getting a good picture with all the kids isn't easy. Most of the time they do what they want just to make us crazy.

We've been going to Lagoon the past few years with Chase's family on the 4th. Here is a picture of Chase on the cliffhanger. This is the first time I've seen this ride operating.

We had great weather. It was overcast for a lot of the day; it even sprinkled here and there. The sun came out in the later afternoon but that was ok. We didn't have to wait in line much for the rides. Some of them we were able to walk right on.
Going to Lagoon once a year is enough for us. We decided we're getting old because a lot of the rides made us sick and gave us a headache. But it was still lots of fun!!

Here is Paisley with Grandma Lori just before I took her inside. The screamer fireworks her uncle and Grandpa did scared her and made her start screaming. We got her calmed down and brought her back outside and she started to fall asleep so she missed the Riverdale City fireworks. Oh well, maybe next year.

Watch Out! Child on the run...

The day has finally arrived. Paisley started crawling today. She has been 'scooting' for quite a while now and today she made it onto her hands and knees with out falling on her face. As I watched her from the kitchen, she started out really slow but got a little bit (not much) faster. Now it's time to really baby proof our house.

I've been thinking of things that she's accomplished that I'll want to remember later on.

PrOcRaStInAtIoN!!!

It has been nearly a year since I've made a post and I'm feeling pretty guilty. Paisley has been born already and she's now 8 months old. We purchased a home on August 26, 2008 and moved in September 20, 2008. So many things have happened to Chase and I in the past 11 months, so rather than beat myself up over not keeping up to date on this blog and our life, I'll just start updating regularly from today forward. I plan to back track when I think of things I want to remember. Here are a few pictures of things that have happened in the past 11 months.
This is our new house:

We have done sooo much to this house like... painted the entire upstairs, new windows, carpet, fixed some odds n' ends projects, fixed the lights (thanks to Skyler), put in a garden, pulled out the chain link fence in the backyard, fixed the garage doors, pulled out the pine tree in the front yard, fixed the sprinkler leak, redid all the flower beds, brought in top soil, seeded the empty spots in the front and back, put in a dishwasher and microwave and redid the Nursery. Chase did about 90% of all these projects so I can't really take much credit, but I did do a few little things.

Once we got settled into our house and Chase got home from Goose hunting in Canada, it was time to get ready for Paisley to arrive. My water broke on Sunday, October 26, 2008. I wasn't certain if it was my water for sure or not so Tanya advised me to head to the hospital and they would be able to tell me FOR SURE. So off we went. Chase didn't think they would keep me. Sure enough, my water had broke, but... I was only dilated to a 1, so I had a long ways to go. They induced me about 4:00 pm. Dr. Hartman came to see me around 7pm and told us we would be lucky if she were born by morning. We sent all our visitors home and tried to get some sleep. By midnight, I was fully dilated and by 1:24am, Paisley Josene Mitchell was welcomed into the world by Dr. Hartman, Me, Chase and the Nurses.
Here are some pictures from the day of her birth.
