No, we didn't just recently hike Adam's Canyon. We did back in... um... July. Better late than never though right? Right. We wanted to hike to Timpanogus Cave but when we called they told us there was a 2 hour wait once you got up to the cave, so we decided it would be better to hike closer to home. Neither of us had ever hiked Adam's Canyon so we thought we'd give it a try. It was the perfect day for a hike because it was overcast. For those of you who don't know where Adam's Canyon is, it begins on the East bench of Layton. The worst part about the hike would be the switch backs in the sand at the beginning. One cool thing about this hike is that a lot of it is in the shade. There's a lot of really big pine trees too. Here are some pictures from our fun day...
Chase and Paisley after making it up the switchbacks.

Moi.

Here we were just hikin' along and all of the sudden I saw this...

At first I thought it was a stick, but then it moved!

I know Paisley isn't looking but I thought it was a cute pic of Chase.

This isn't something you see everyday... a lady being carried out on a stretcher.

Isn't it pretty!

And, we made it!

The guy who took our picture didn't really know that you're supposed to center the people and try to get a good shot of the falls in the background. But I can't complain, at least he was kind enough to take our picture and not steal our camera, right.

Paisley's first time eating licorice.

All tuckered out!! I promise I didn't just let her head hang to the side. I kept putting her jacket under her head but it kept sliding out.

I thought this was a pretty view of the valley and Great Salt Lake.

Wish these were this easy when we started. It doesn't look very steep here, but trust me, they were steep.

What a fun day! We were so tired and so happy to get back to our car. The only thing we would've done different would be to pack more food to eat at the top... like some lunchables. What a good idea. Maybe next time.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Tom's uncle was just telling us about the Adam's canyon this summer and we so want to try to make a go of it. Your blog is always so fun to read! I love it thanks for sharing your cute family with me.
